Biography

Professor Joshua Ho is the Co-Director of the Master of Biomedical Innovation Programme, Co-Director of Centre for Health AI Research and Translation (CHART), and Assistant Dean (Innovation and Technology Transfer), HKUMed. Professor Ho is an expert in bioinformatics, digital health, and medical AI, with a focus on innovation and technology transfer. He is also a start-up company founder. He has extensive experience in professional communication as a scientist, educator, leader, and start-up founder.  

Abstract

A biomedical innovator must be able to communicate well with different stakeholders: investors, clients, collaborators, employees, doctors, patients, and the general public. How can we speak with confidence to effectively convey the value of your technology, your company, and yourself? In this workshop, I will share hands-on tips on how to speak effectively and professionally in a variety of settings that are common for a start-up founder or translational biomedical scientist.

• Upon completion, 2 points will be counted towards SBMS7000 Innovator Immersion Programme (List A) for students enrolled in the MBioInno Programme.

• MBioInno students’ attendance will be recorded via a QR code available at the venue.
